Solid Waste & Recycling
Yardwaste Site is CLOSED - Due to the Corona Virus and the Safer at Home Order, the City's yardwaste site on Boomer Street will be CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Residents are asked to either hold on to yardwaste until the site is able to re-open or the Street Department will pick up items curbside. Leaves and grass clippings should be raked to the boulevard and the leaf truck will come around in the same schedule as brush pickup and fall leaf collection. If you have small twigs or things like plant roots, garden items, etc. they should be bagged and will be collected on this same timeline.
ALL GARBAGE AND RECYCLING ROUTES WILL BE COLLECTED ON DEC. 24TH & 25TH AND DEC. 31ST & JAN. 1ST
THERE ARE NEW CHARGES FOR ITEMS TO BE DROPPED OFF AT STREET DEPT - 811 S. FIRST STREET. PLEASE SEE THE PRICING LIST ON THE RECYCLING GUIDELINES SHEET LOCATED ON THE LEFT TAB.
Please know your room size for pricing and have carpeting rolls (tied or taped) no longer than four feet.
Length x Width = Square Feet ÷ 9 = Square Yards (round up to the nearest dollar)
2020 Hours for drop-off are:
Jan 1 - April 14: Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
April 15 - Oct. 13: Mon - Thur 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Fridays 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Oct. 14 - Dec 30: Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Saturdays: April 4th, June 6th, August 1st and Oct. 3rd - 8:00 a.m. - Noon
