The Clerk/Treasurer's office processes payroll, handles benefits and serves as the human resources department for employees.  The City currently employs 172 people on a full-time basis.  There are also approximately 290 part-time and/or seasonal employees.

Many types of licenses for business and individuals are issued by our office.  There are currently 52 taverns and approximately 400 beverage operator licenses issued.  We also issue all dog and cat licenses.  There are currently approximately 1,924 licensed dogs and 346 licensed cats in the City. 

Election administration is another major responsibility of this office.  Although elections are only held several times per year, this is one of the most important functions of this office.
